Ready to conquer any trail? Biktrix Juggernaut FS XD Fat isn’t just another e-MTB; it is a beast that tames mountains and leaves one grinning from ear to ear.   We test drove the 2024 model, exercising it through treacherous descents and grueling climbs.

This thing packs some serious muscle, though. Does it make a performance difference to match its full-suspension fat bike pedigree?.

Price: $5,499.00

Biktrix is playing no games with the Juggernaut FS XD Fat. Premium screams all the way around for the kind of riders that demand A1 performance and won’t compromise for anything less than the best.

That there 2000+ watt motor? Pretty powerful, yes, but essentially the impossible, steep climb conqueror.

It costs $5,499, after all. This is a commensurate investment in your ride: Imagine you get full suspension, plus very large fat tires and enough torque to knock molehills into mountains.

Click through for the full test of the Juggernaut, and crowning it as a value winner.
At this price point, and at that level of spec, you’re not going to be buying mass-produced IKEA contraptions which fall apart or – worse still – don’t work as you need them to. Instead, you’re buying quality: something, at this price, which stands to last.

Weight/Frame

We’ll start with the elephant in the room: at 75 pounds, the Juggernaut FS XD Fat is a sizeable ride. But here’s the thing: that weight translates to rock-solid stability as you bomb down technical descents or plow through deep mud. We found the burly aluminum frame inspires confidence, taking big hits in stride without a whimper.

Yes, you’ll feel that weight on tight switchbacks or when loading it onto a bike rack. But for the target rider – someone who craves raw power and all-terrain dominance – the trade-off is more than worth it. This bike’s built like a tank, and in the very best way.

Battery Life

Juice for days! The Juggernaut FS XD Fat, with a 17.5 Ah battery, packs quite a punch, promising up to 97 km on a single charge.

Head-to-head competitor: the Nireeka Mega 1500, which boasts an impressive range of 80 km – this time, though, the Juggernaut comes out on top, outpacing its counterpart by at least 17 km.

We put it to the test on a grueling all-day epic, mixing punchy climbs with long fire road grinds, and still had power to spare at the end.

Removable battery is a smart touch, making it easy to charge or swap in a spare for truly monster rides.

Real-world range will vary, of course—crank up that assist on technical climbs and you’ll burn through juice faster. But even in our most aggressive riding, we never felt range anxiety creeping in.

Motor Performance

This thing has a motor thats at least 2,000+ watts: absolutely ridiculously powerful. We pointed it at the steepest, most ridiculous climbs we could find, and the Juggernaut delivered.

T hey can really deliver, but what impressed us most was the smoothness of the power delivery-no jerky engagement here, just a buttery surge of assist that had us clearing technical sections with ease.

Whether you’re shredding fire roads that appear to go on forever or short-pumping some punchy singletrack, this motor has got your back. It’s not just about raw power, though-the kind of refined tuning means you’re always in control, even when the trail gets sketchy.

ℹ️ Be cautious with your assistance use on hazardous technical sections – the bike’s heavyweight, combined with its immense power, could lead to a nasty accident if you aren’t careful or don’t have the strength to cope with it.

Display and Controls

Biktrix knocked it out of the park with the user-friendly display. We could glance down at a glance and catch our speed, battery life, and assist level. The controls are intuitive enough that we rarely had to take our eyes off the trail, which is good when you’re pushing the limits.

One minor quibble: the buttons could be a little more tactile for use with gloves. But all things considered, the system strikes a great balance between information and simplicity. Expect to spend more time shredding and less time fiddling with settings.

Suspension System

We were expecting good things out of the RockShox rear shock, and it really didn’t disappoint. Team this with the competent front fork, and this suspension configuration lords over big hits and chattery terrain with ease. The Juggernaut got dished the roughest lines we could find, and it just chewed them up.

And the standout in the bunch? How slickly the suspension continues to express traction as you lay down serious power.

On rough, technical climbs where you’d otherwise spin out, the Juggernaut kept clawing its way up. It’s not only for comfort (though your lower back will thank you on long rides)-it’s about remaining in control, even when things are treacherously stiff.

Wheels and Tires

True to the “Fat” in its name, those chunky 26×4″ tires are a defining feature. We tested them across everything from hardpack to deep sand, and the traction is phenomenal.

They absolutely shine in soft conditions – if you’ve ever wanted to rip through fresh snow or cruise a beach, this is your ticket to ride.

This added stability from the wide footprint is a confidence builder for inexperienced riders. Our only caveat? You’ll feel this rolling resistance on paved sections. But let’s be real, if you’re buying this bike, you’re not looking to set speed records on the road.

Braking System

With great power comes great responsibility, and the quad-piston hydraulic brakes on the Juggernaut are up to the task.

We threw them hard on white-knuckle descents, and they never faded or left us wanting. The bite is progressive and predictable – perfect for modulating your speed through technical sections.

The 220mm rear rotor is no laughing matter, giving serious stopping power even when you are loaded with gear for a bikepacking adventure. Such brakes inspire confidence, allowing you to push your limits knowing you can rein things in when needed.

Drivetrain

The 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain packs a massive range of gears, and we shifted through every single one of them quite often. Shifting was crisp and robust, even under load. But the real hero of the piece? That clever dual chain system.

In addition to offering a backup in the unlikely event that one chain failssomething we encountered onceit distributes power for maximum output.

We immediately note a difference where technicality comes into play – this bike just hooks up and goes, finding traction where lesser setups would hang out. Overkill for casual riders? Sure, but for those pushing the limits of what’s possible on an e-MTB, it’s a game-changer.

Final Thoughts

It’s not for everyone – and that’s the whole point. This is a specialist product for those who crave raw power, uncompromising durability, and go anywhere, do anything attitude. Yes, it’s heavy. Maybe even a tad pricey. But for the right rider, a real gas.

Thoughtful design has been able to engineer a product so impressive; from the grotesque motor to the clever dual chain system, they have placed you on high ground. Now it lets you explore further and tackle trails you’d never dream of on a standard mountain bike.

Well worth it? If you’re serious about off-road e-biking and have the budget, then absolutely. This bike delivers high-tier performance and durability that will last for years.

It’s not for everyone. For those sticking to smoother trails primarily, there are certainly more affordable options out there.

But for those who live for epic, all-day adventures and “I can’t believe I just cleared that” moments, the Juggernaut FS XD Fat is your ultimate dust-kicking, grin-inducing companion.
